things are really happening out here

we went wood shopping the other day. for some wood. here's a photo of me. and the wood. i'm on the right.

free beer fridge on our curb if anyone needs one

this is the fridge we dragged out of the basement this afternoon. it's how we like to celebrate president's day. it's strapped shut because we trapped a hobo in there last fall. 

if libraries were cool, this would be the coolest one ever.

amazing flooring. i tried to read it, but after about an hour and a half, they told me to stop rolling around on the floor and took my library card away.
i'm not sure what the stairway to heaven looks like, but i think this could be it. and yes, i took it.

here's some of the exterior. it was really nice and in the center of seattle. the architect's name is rem koolhaase, which i believe to be EVEN cooler than the library itself.

my pal jeff came for a visit and brought some really lovely midwestern snow with him. perfect for our showshoe tour in the mountains, but i was kind of hoping he'd being some barbecue sauce. no dice.

we got to try my new chains out, but sadly one popped off and jeff had to pull the car back to the highway.
